As a frequent resident in Thailand I have found that Thailand has so much to offer as a health conscious people. Facilities in Thailand have never been better the health spas are amongst the best in the world and some of the dentists and hospitals put the NHS (National Health Service UK) to shame.

Due to stronger foreign currency it is very advantageous to have treatments such as laser teeth whitening and other cosmetics performed here to world class standards at a fraction of the cost in Europe or in the USA.

Those on waiting lists in Europe (the UK in particular) may not be able to afford to have life limiting conditions treated privately and perhaps could use the fine facilities available in Thailand rather than waiting months to have such ailments treated. Granted the NHS provides treatment free of cost but surely this is a more than satisfactory medium to extortionate costs in the UK or gruelling waiting lists having a severe impact on a patients life.
